You scored as a Jürgen Moltmann
The problem of evil is central to your thought, and only a crucified God can show that God is not indifferent to human suffering. Christian discipleship means identifying with suffering but also anticipating the new creation of all things that God will bring about.

Which theologian are you?
created with QuizFarm.com
I’m not sure I agree with this quiz’s pithy assessment of my spirituality and theological concerns; it is interesting, though. And nice to know I’m not very Augustinian.
I scored as a Anselm.
“Anselm is the outstanding theologian of the medieval period. He sees man’s primary problem as having failed to render unto God what we owe him, so God becomes man in Christ and gives God what he is due. You should read ‘Cur Deus Homo?”
Last time, I was Martin Luther.
Wow, you’re even more Moltmann-y than I am. 🙂
Barth, always Barth on these tests. I don’t think that it should put us at 100% compatable…there are some answers that I gave that Barth would not agree with. I am impressed that these tests get me pegged that well though.
You scored as Karl Barth, The daddy of 20th Century theology. You perceive liberal theology to be a disaster and so you insist that the revelation of Christ, not human experience, should be the starting point for all theology.Karl Barth100% Anselm93% Martin Luther80% John Calvin67% Jürgen Moltmann53% Friedrich Schleiermacher47% Charles Finney40% Jonathan Edwards33% Augustine27% Paul Tillich0% Which theologian are you?created with QuizFarm.com
I scored as a Paul Tillich. Paul Tillich sought to express Christian truth in an existentialist way. Our primary problem is alienation from the ground of our being, so that our life is meaningless. Great for psychotherapy, but no longer very influential.
Paul Tillich – 73% (decided through a tossup question)
Jürgen Moltmann – 73%
Friedrich Schleiermacher – 33%
John Calvin – 20%
Karl Barth – 13%
Martin Luther – 13%
Charles Finney – 13%
Augustine – 0%
Jonathan Edwards – 0%
Anselm – 0%
I got an 87% Moltmann and a tie of 80% with Finney and Anselm. My Calvin was disturbingly in the 40something % as well.
Interesting site. I’m pegged as a cross between Calvin, Tillich & Barth – which suggests that I’m theologically hopeless.
