In an unlikely HT to both Doug and Steve, I’ve found this amazing video from Springsteen and the E Street Band’s upcoming album, Magic.
I haven’t listened to Bruce much, but my respect for him has increased over the past couple of years as I’ve heard him take stands against oppression and for common people and the freedom to express. Mark Moring’s excellent piece Bruce and the Almighty introduces us to the increasing role faith-language is playing in his prophetic challenge to the powers that be.
This track strikes a chord many feel today–some of us only seldom; others, all-consuming. (Because I’m shallow and easily distracted, my existential malaise usually only comes on when I want it to, while smoking a clove on my porch with Trois Pistoles in hand, say) Here are some lyrical samplings:

Hmm…cessationists might not much like this song; mayhaps this ties into some of our discussions about worship, and charismatic faith…
Anyway, the album comes out
October 2. It’s gonna be quite the awesome early October for new releases, with Magic and Everything Must Change…
