I’m back from Soularize, and it was amazing. The people, the fellowship, the exchange of life and ideas…much to write about. But for now the day goes late, and I have a ton of stuff to catch up on. Plus, it’s my birthday. I’ll write more tomorrow. In the meantime, I leave you with this faux Dylan video courtesy of Weird Al…the first person who can tell me what’s brilliant with the lyrics will have my undying respect.

They’re all palindromes?
Ding ding ding! Absolutely right, Sir PostScript. Isn’t it brilliant? I wonder how many were already floating around “out there” and how many Mr. Al put together original?
That’s funny Mike.
I’ve been on a Weird Al/you tube kick for avout a week now and saw this video a couple nights ago!
I think right now my favorite is still ‘amish paradise’.
Also ‘white and nerdy’ is pretty funny too.
Looking forward to your report on the conference!
I expect not many of these palindromes are originals; I have always seen Al as more of an imitator/satirist than an originator. I suppose you have all heard his take on “American Pie” spoofing Star Wars?
As for palindromes, here is one of my favorites, by Roger Angell:
Marge, let dam dogs in. Am on satire: vow I am Cain. Am on spot, am a Jap sniper. Red, raw murder on G.I.! Ignore drum. (Warder repins pajama tops.) No maniac, Ma! Iwo veritas: No man is God. —————Mad Telegram
